TOWN HALL AND TIPI WEDDING, SHROPSHIRE – CHRIS & ARIEL

Chris and Ariel had 2 ceremonies. The civil wedding took place at the beautiful Bridgnorth Townhall and the Tipi wedding at Brookhouse Farm in Shropshire.

The couple met online and quickly moved in together. They are just the loveliest people. After getting together Chris and Ariel decided to travel through Europe together bike touring through Europe and South America. They did that for two years and at the time of the wedding had decided to part with their two wheels and exchange them for four. They now, live in Chile in their converted Peugeot Boxer which they have named Peggy.

Groom prep

Chris and Ariel got ready in a cottage nearby the tipi.  He wore a brown suit paired with a belt made from the inner tube of a bike tire and looked so funky.

Town Hall Wedding

The ceremony took place in the town hall in Shropshire. It was inside a lovely room, which had a lot of presence. The ceremony began with the couple saying personal vows they’d written themselves, and finished with a sweeping first kiss. It was a romantic ceremony, full of excited hand squeezes and nervous giggles. One of the guests read out a very special poem which had the place in tears.

After the ceremony, we returned back to the farm, which was also the perfect time to capture candids as guests were mingling on the grounds preparing for the tipi ceremony.

Tipi Wedding

Chris and Ariel chose to have their wedding at Brookhouse Farm because they could have the place for the whole weekend, and it’s their friend’s farm. Brookhouse Farm has got such a shabby chic feel to it, especially in the evenings when the lights go down.  The ceremony was officiated by Ariel’s friend who rocked up in red wellies and done such a great job. After the wedding, the couple had planned a choreographed dance routine which really entertained their guests.

There was a food truck serving Jamaican vegan bites. It was gobbled down in seconds and everybody came back for seconds. Chris & Ariel had the cake cutting after the meal, which was so funny because the couple started grabbing chunks of cake and stuffing it into each other’s mouths.

The evening

After eating, everybody ate some delicious cake, and the dancefloor was a very popular place to be. The couple had created a Spotify playlist which kept the party going all night.

The evening ended with a sparkler exit, which was incredible – People were blown away by the evening they just had. The whole wedding was everything I love about weddings, from the crazy first dance to the fire pit in the evening. Chris and Ariel were our dream couple and from the wedding, we have maintained a healthy friendship with them despite them living a thousand miles away in Chile. One of our favorite moments of the wedding was their first dance because of the passion and finesse of the routine – There was also this bit where Chris’ button got caught on Ariel’s dress which was really funny. The dress was also a talking point of the wedding – Ariel looked spectacular. They had guests come from all over the globe, one guest even cycled from Austria to be there – Now that’s commitment.

The couple says that if you’re planning your wedding, the biggest piece of advice they could give you is to keep things simple.
