SUMMER TOWN HALL AND GARDEN WEDDING – CLARE & IRVIN

Clare and Irvin’ summer town hall and garden wedding took place at the grand Hackney Town Hall, in June. It was a wonderful back garden reception, with a marquee right in the middle and flowers on the tables.

Clare & Irvin met in school and have been together for over 10 years, giving birth to 2 beautiful children in the process. They are so much fun. Irvin is louder than life and Clare loves to laugh, we all hit it off straight away.

The ceremony

The ceremony area was a lovely blue-tinted room, which was perfect for the surroundings because it made it so cosy. It began with a hilarious reading and finished with a big cheer from everyone. It was a wonderful ceremony, full of lots of laughter and lots of cheer. Their children were involved too they inseparable from their parents.

After the ceremony had finished, we took some group photographs in front of the Town Hall, which was also perfect timing to capture candids as guests were mingling on the grounds. Then the guest made their way back to Clare & Irvin’s place to begin drinking bottomless glasses of prosecco at the garden reception. We captured some really special portrait photos of the couple, doing what they love doing together, living and laughing. The weather was sunny but not too hot, perfect weather for a back garden reception.

The reception

For the reception, the couple had set up a marquee with unlimited prosecco and beers for their guests, everybody had a blast mingling. Everyone was then called in for food, which was Mauritian cuisine. It was absolutely delicious, savoury meats coupled with a hint of spice. They had speeches after the dinner, which was really touching – Irvin’s’ mother said a Jamaican song of praise, which reminded me of my own mother. Claire’s mother said the final reading which was very witty and emotional.
