Rajen and Vanisha’s sunny countryside wedding took part at the beautiful Hellidon Lakes Hotel in Daventry. It was an awesome summery wedding, with lots of family and friends.
The couple met online and ever since have been inseparable. We met up a couple times before the wedding and found out about Rajen’s love for reggae, cars and all the places they had both been to together.
Vanisha got ready a short drive from the wedding venue in Northampton with her aunt and sisters. There was such a relaxed vibe. Selina’s Salon was Vanisha’s hairdresser and make-up artist, she made sure Vanisha looked perfect before walking down the aisle in her Saree inspired white wedding dress which was stunning.
The wedding ceremony took place in a beautiful naturally lit room right next to the Hotel’s golf green. The area was really cosy, which was perfect because it was an intimate wedding. The wedding began with the couple reading out their vows, and finished with a big cheer from all the guests. It was a gorgeous ceremony, full of nervous giggles and lots of laughter.
After the ceremony, we went onto the golf green to grab some portraits with just the couple, which was great because it gave them a little time to let things sink in whilst strolling along in the golf buggy. We managed to capture some really special moments by the barn and waterfalls on the grounds. When we got back to the venue we captured some awesome photos of Rajen and Vanisha walking through the confetti – The confetti was made out of rice paper, some guests couldn’t resist a cheeky nibble. The weather was all sunshine and blue skies, it was a really beautiful day and everybody was happy.
There were two speeches given by Rajen’s brother and Vanisha’s sister which brought her emotional tears of joy. Straight after the newlyweds cut the cake and we were all served some delicious curry. The couple spent the rest of the afternoon mingling with their guests. The DJ who was also one of Rajen’s two best men kept everyone entertained playing everything from Bob Marley to the Backstreet Boys.
Towards the end of the afternoon, the couple had organised a getaway car which was so cool. It was a bright red BMW convertible. We used this and caught some lovely photographs in the local village where we soon after parted ways, the next day they had their honeymoon in Rome.
