George and Raegan’s quirky pub wedding took place at the Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge in Essex and the Foresters Arms Pub in Loughton. The two brides entered the scene in a cool silver Delorean, similar to the one in Back to the Future, which brought back so many epic memories when we all saw it.
The couple met in the Lord Nelson Pub on the Isle of Dogs because of a football match. At the time George was new and Raegan had played the previous season so you could say it was fate. After a few drinks and then some, the couple grew closer and George even convinced Raegan to join the team again. Raegan said that she even remembered what George was wearing, the seat she was sat at and the drink she ordered.
Admittedly, Raegan wasn’t too keen on having photographs during the ceremony, the couple was also a little camera shy but as the day progressed they warmed up to the idea and we ended up capturing some stunning photographs of them at the ceremony and the reception which was so fun.
The ceremony took place inside Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge next to Epping Park Forest. It was a lovely room at the top of the lodge which was brilliant because it was a beautiful sunny afternoon.
The Foresters Arms Pub in Loughton, known for its quirky design and warm, friendly service. It really complimented George & Raegan’s relaxed vibe. For food, there was some proper winter wedding grub, roast dinner with all the trimmings YUMMY. After dinner, everybody hit the dancefloor until the evening came to a close. George, Raegan, and the guests the best moves whilst the DJ kept the energy on a high. George’s Dad even brought out his infamous harmonica, which George did pre-warn us about – it was great.
We really enjoyed this super laid back wedding and look forward to shooting even more pub weddings this year.
