If you love genuine laughter and intimate vibes, then you’ll adore this fun and proper personal wedding!
Diane and John got married at the gorgeous Tower Hamlets Register Office, London, in August. It was a crazy fun day, completed with friendly faces and intimate smiles, topped off with a dance off at the reception creating the perfect end to a personal day.
The excitement before the wedding
Diane got ready about 20 minutes away at the nearby Travelodge with her daughter, parents and her bridal party, there was such a happy vibe as everyone got ready together. Diane’s good friend of eleven years, Rose, did her bridal makeup, which was a beautiful smokey pink look, while her bridesmaids did each others hair and makeup. Diane wore a stunning sweetheart neckline from David’s Bridal, complemented by her sleek updo. She looked so incredible. The wedding party then hopped into ubers to get to the ceremony. Rushing out of the rain, the bridal party arrived at the register office, pairing up with the groomsmen ready to walk down the aisle.
On the boy’s side, John got ready at his family home with his groomsmen and family. He wore a cool powder blue suit with pink accents to complement the blue and pink theme of the wedding. John looked really handsome calmly waiting for Diane at the end of the aisle.
The ceremony took place at Tower Hamlets Register Office in a beautiful private room, ideal for creating a nice intimate, personal wedding vibe. The bridal party entered first, followed by Diane and her dad who met a dapper John before the registrar. It was a gorgeous ceremony, full of lots of laughter, goofy looks and a tear or two!
After the ceremony, we captured a few family photos, and then let the newlyweds mingle and celebrate with their loved ones. Soon after we travelled to the reception, which was back at the travelodge hotel for some nibbles, before moving to the reception venue, Yi-Ban.
During this time we snuck Diane and John out for some quiet time and a portrait session. Although the weather was a tad gloomy, it made for some great photos.
The couple hired Yi-Ban which is a popular Chinese restaurant on the Docklands. More guests arrived and the atmosphere was amazing. The guests enjoyed free-flowing drinks and plenty of private jokes until the food was served. Everyone had a blast over the delicious food.
After a few courses had been served, Diane and John then visited each table for a customary shot and toast, guests went all out, and everyone looked like they had the best time. Heartfelt speeches and the cake cutting soon followed which bought tears to a few guests eyes. It truly was a beautiful evening.
The evening ended with a crazy party. All the guests were on the dance floor having the time of their lives. Diane and John’s personal wedding was a dream. From the beautiful vows at the beginning, to the family atmosphere created throughout the day, this couple deserve a world of happiness and more.
