Kingsley and Alyssia married at the beautiful Gilwell Park, Epping Forest. It was a stunning and intimate cabin wedding, with royal blue and silver as the main decor.
The couple met at Oxford Circus for a date and have been together since. They are just the loveliest people.
Kingsley and Alyssia got ready in separate rooms at Gilwell Park. Kingsley and his best man wore fitted suits from Moss Bros, while the rest of their groomsmen wore black suits from Next. Alyssia wore a beautiful sweetheart neckline white dress from David’s Bridal intricately detailed with diamantés, while her bridesmaids wore stunning royal blue dresses from JJ House – they all looked so perfect.
As tradition would have it, Alyssia arrived fashionably late walking down the aisle with her dad who looked so proud. The bride and groom both wrote vows to one another which left the crowd in stitches one moment and tears the next. Their ceremony began with a choir performance and finished with the newly wedded couple dancing back down the aisle together to some afro-beats. It was a gorgeous ceremony, full of laughter and joy.
After the ceremony, everyone trickled outside into the fields for some group shots and portraits which was also the perfect time for us to get candid photos of all the guests greeting the newlyweds. We did some family photos, as well as a gorgeous portrait session of Kingsley and Alyssia, which was so much fun.
Kingsley and Alyssia chose to have their intimate cabin wedding at Gilwell Park because it has so many options, beautiful light, and natural surroundings. Gilwell Park has the perfect blend of modern amenities and country life, it’s got such a lovely atmosphere, especially in the evenings when the party got going.
For the reception, the couple had organised live music performances for their guests, and everyone loved it. Once everyone was seated, Kingsley and Alyssia’s guests were then called table by table for dinner. Their guests could choose a fusion of Caribbean and West African meals catered by Wright’s Catering. It was absolutely delicious. They had speeches before the dessert and cake cutting, which got all the guests talking together and perfectly rounded up the evening just in time for the party!
We loved this intimate cabin wedding so much. If you’re getting married and looking for a wedding photographer who captures your day as it unravels, get in touch!
